"While most hotels in Vigan allow you to experience the Vigan culture and heritage, this one features the peaceful charm and quiet side of the heritage city."

[VIGAN, ILOCOS SUR, PHILIPPINES]▬ The high demand for accommodation in Vigan probably has escalated the room rates of hotels here. For this phenomenon, I believe there's no one to blame. It's a well-accepted law in economics that when the demand is high, the price also goes high. The good news is I've discovered a place to stay in Vigan that is relatively cheaper than most of the hotels in Vigan.

▬ Vigan Airport View Hotel ▬

#VIGAN

THE NAME OF THIS HOTEL I AM
featuring now is Vigan Airport View Hotel. The reason is, it is actually very near the Vigan Airport. It opened sometime in September 2015 and gladly I was able to join the simple blessing celebration on 20 September 2015. As of now, the complete plan for the hotel is not yet finished. However, its rooms are already open for business.

▬ Room Rates ▬

AS OF THIS POST, THE HOTEL HAS 4 rooms ready for use. This hotel is friendly for group travelers. You can actually save a lot if you are in group.

AIRPORT VIEW HOTEL

[VIGAN] ▬ AN ESCAPE FROM THE BUSY CITY LIFE

Two of its rooms cost 1800 pesos that is good for 6 people. If you are six in the group, you only have to pay 300 pesos/pax. If you are short of six, you have to divide among yourselves the 1800 pesos rate. If you are more than six in the group, the extra person will only have to pay another 300 pesos. If you are alone, you have to bear the whole rate.

The other two rooms are good for couples. Staying in the room costs 1200 pesos in 24 hours. However, it can still accommodate up to 4 people where you can divide among yourselves at 300 pesos/pax. If you are alone, you also need to pay for the whole room rate.

Charging for the rooms is per 24 hours from the time of check-in. So for example you checked-in at 9 AM today, you will be charged until 9 AM the next day.

▬ Inside the Rooms ▬

ROOMS ARE SPACIOUS. EACH ROOM HAS ITS own bathroom with hot and cold shower and working desks. Well, do not expect something luxurious or fancy because this is a budget accommodation. And I must say, considering the price, this is a bang for the buck.

▬ A Different Genre ▬

VIGAN IS KNOWN FOR ELEGANT AND PRICEY hotels with a Hispanic touch. This hotel is very much different. I want to make it clear that I am suggesting this hotel to those who are traveling in group, budget-conscious and looking for a peaceful secluded location.

So this hotel has a different genre. While most hotels in Vigan allow you to experience the Vigan culture and heritage, this one features the peaceful charm and quiet side of the heritage city.

This hotel is for those who are looking for a secluded place in Vigan that is away from the noisy streets and tourist crowds. I would advise you to shop for your personal effects and food before you check in here because there are no shopping areas nearby. As I said, this is located in the Vigan countryside.

▬ Vigan Attractions Near this Hotel ▬

ALTHOUGH NOT LOCATED IN THE HEART OF the city, there are several attractions you can enjoy nearby. The following are my suggestions:

HIDDEN GARDEN VIGAN

[VIGAN] ▬ HIDDEN GARDEN

[1] Hidden Garden Hidden Garden and this hotel are located in the same barangay called Bulala. You can actually walk to this eco-tourism destination in Vigan for about 10 minutes from here. But if you are not into walking, just ride to a tricycle and you'll be there in about 2 minutes at 10 pesos fare.
